works in partnership with God and people everywhere, from all walks of life, to develop communities with people in need by building and renovating houses, so that there are decent houses in decent communities in which people can live and grow into all that God intended.

We've FINISHED Building!

We're DONE!

The SU/ESF Student Chapter of Syracuse Habitat for Humanity and the Women Build have each completed construction of their homes.  Both the SU/ESF House at 205 Elliott and the Women Build House at 227 Elliott got a late start.  However, due to the dedicated and persistent effort of many wonderful volunteers, these two houses were completed in only 6 months!  We extend our gratitude to the many individuals, groups, businesses and foundations who made it possible to build these two homes. 

Families have been selected for both houses.  The Cruz Family will move into the home that the SU/ESF Student Chapter built, and held their dedication in May.  The Reese Family will move into the Women Build home.  The Reese Family Home Dedication will take place July 11.

Please join Syracuse Habitat and future homeowner Celesse Reese and her two children for a Dedication Ceremony!  A SHFH Home Dedication celebrates the completion of construction of a house, and welcomes the start of a new life for the Reese family.

InterFaith Build Seeks a Chair

Currently, Syracuse Habitat is looking for a Chair of the Interfaith Committee to coordinate the Interfaith Build among the faith communities of the Greater Syracuse Area.  This is a terrific opportunity for someone (or a pair) to help spread the Habitat message/mission to the area houses of worship and to get them involved with this exciting project!  Interested???
